Uproar in Malayalam film industry: 4 actresses quit AMMA

Kochi: Two days after the Association of Malayalam Movie Artist reinstated actor Dileep into the film body, four prominent actresses resigned from it, triggering an uproar in the Malayalam Film Industry.

Actresses including Rima Kallingal, Remya Nambeeshan, Geethu Mohandas and the survivor resigned from the film body. In the official Face Book page of Women in Cinema Collective, the assaulted actress said that she was not quitting the organisation because the actor was reinstated.

'Even when 'the actor' tried to snatch my opportunities and sabotage my career, no one heeded to my complaints, but tried to protect the actor,
Realising that there is no purpose in being a part of such an organisation, I hereby resign'. she wrote.

Expressing solidarity to the actress, Remya Nambeeshan, Rima Kallingal, Geethu Mohandas resigned from the film body.
