Hairline International Hair and Skin Clinic has introduced a new approach to hair transplant (HT) that reduces time between sessions from 6 months to just 24 hours. Ideal for extensive balding, this procedure will reduce the waiting period for results from 2 years to 10 months.

The average waiting period between sessions of HT for extensive baldness is currently around 6 months. Each session requires approximately 8 months for visible results of hair growth. All combined, for extensive baldness, the waiting period for complete hair growth from these two sessionscan go up to 2 years. With the time between sessions now reduced to just 24 hours, a patient can now see results in 10 months.

Speaking on the introduction of this cutting edge procedure, Dr. Bani Anand, Founder and Managing Director, Hairline International Hair and Skin Clinic says, “With a new approachfor cutting down the waiting period, HairlineInternational now offers a solution where one can undergo hair transplant over two successive days for larger coverage of baldness in two consecutive sessions. This will bring the total waiting period for coverage of larger area down to 6 to 7 months, instead of the 1.5 years”.

Elaborating on the procedure, Dr. Dinesh G. G, Dermatosurgeon, Hairline International Hair and Skin Clinic says, “The procedure is conducted after carefully selecting the patient. Donor quality and density of the hair is prime criteria for the selection of the patient. This is carried out after by careful assessment and through the use of densitometers and other evaluating procedures expert doctors. The procedure involves the careful administration of local anesthesia. This is calculated and the dose administered is based on per kg body weight. To control the pain from soreness following the first procedure, doctors work towards alleviating the pain and then approach the donor area cautiously”.

Dr. Dinesh G.G further adds that this is a procedure that is advised for patients with extensive baldness as well as a very good donor area. If the density of the donor area is inadequate, then the traditional form of hair transplant with the 6 month waiting for second session is advised for optimum results. Hairline International has successfully completed a number of such procedures with favourable results and satisfied patients.
